The Roystercatchers are a Whitstable based acoustic Folk and Ceilidh Band, formed in early 2013, though most of us have been involved in the local folk scene for many years.  The Roystercatchers are affiliated members of the English Folk Dance & Song Society (EFDSS).

 

With a number of vocalists and varied instruments included accordian, banjo and border pipes, we provide a varied, often humorous mixture of traditional tunes and songs, as well as our own compositions.

 

As a ceilidh band we provide an evening of dance to great music, mixing old and new dances, suitable for beginners as well as experienced dancers.We can perform both amplified & not, and have our own PA equipment suitable for venues up to Village Hall size.  We are flexible and prepared to offer a mixed package of Ceilidh Dances & Music sets, as required.
